Dating Handicapped Review - UPDATED Dec. 2024
UPDATED Dec. 2024 |
If you are looking for a safe, fun, and open-minded place to meet people with disabilities, check out our Dating Handicapped review. This brand new website is created with the single purpose of making dating easier for people with disabilities. Finally, a place where disabled people and those interested in meeting them can find friendship, casual relationships, or maybe even long-term relationships.
First Impression
If the aim of Dating Handicapped is to make dating easier for the disabled, then it’s doing a terrific job since this website is incredibly easy to use and that’s the first impression we got after visiting the website for the purposes of writing this Dating Handicapped review. It struck us as a legitimate, cool, and open-minded place to meet people with disabilities. The website itself is nothing to write home about, but who needs bells and whistles anyway? What you need is a functioning matchmaking site and that’s precisely what you’re getting.
Design And Functionality
Dating Handicapped is one of those dating websites that doesn’t care much for the visual appeal. The site looks pretty basic and simple, there are only a few sections and a couple of photos altogether, so if you are someone who cares about fancy graphics and illustrations, you probably won’t like it. However, we feel that most people care about substance over style and they won’t mind the rather minimalistic approach.
People with disabilities probably care more about functionality than design as this type of site aims to connect like-minded singles, not sell or advertise products. We’re happy to say that Dating Handicapped works just fine and we feel everyone will be satisfied with the features, speed, ease of use, and the overall user experience.

Features
As a relatively new website, Dating Handicapped is still growing and it will probably introduce some new features in the future. For now, however, you shouldn’t expect any crazy, fancy features. You’ll have all the basics, though. After completing your profile, uploading the profile picture, and maybe even a video or two, you can browse user profiles, based on your location or other criteria such as who’s currently online. You can also conduct a search based on the criteria that you feel work best for you (age and location are the basic criteria, but there are more advanced ones, such as interests, work, education, marital status, and so on).
Free users can create a profile and upload a picture of themselves, search for singles with disabilities in their area, and send and receive flirts. They cannot use the chat room, send or receive e-mails, add users to their list of favorites, and so on. These features are only available to users with a premium account.
Members
A truly amazing community of members is what earned Dating Handicapped a spot on our list of the best disabled dating websites. It may not be the biggest user community in the world, but it definitely keeps growing as new members come in every day.
Members of Dating Handicapped can be divided into two groups – people with disabilities and able-bodied people who are interested in meeting people with disabilities. Now, you would think that the latter are some kind of perverts or fetishists, but it seems that most of them are people whose life has been touched by disability in some way (maybe through a family member or a close friend) and they have a very strong understanding of what it’s like to have a disability. In any case, most of the members are very open, kind, and friendly people, eager to meet someone who might end up being their long-term partner or even spouse.
We noticed that there are slightly more ladies on Dating Handicapped than men. As for the age of the members, you’ll see everyone, from teens to seniors. Most of the members are from the United States (a small percentage is from other parts of the world) so you’ll have no trouble finding someone in your area.
Closing Word
Dating Handicapped is a pretty cool, fun, and relaxed community of people who are hoping to meet like-minded singles with a disability. As you can see from our Dating Handicapped review, it’s not a big, fancy website, but it definitely gets the job done.
WTF? Your choices are “male” or “female” looking for “male” or “female”. So, not only can you not be non-binary, but you can’t even be bi! What decade is this?!
Awesome website, all the best!
Very good dating website, it’s cool to have a community just for people with disabilities because no one will ever really understand you like a disabled person can understand you. The website is done very good, it’s easy to use, of course if your disability allows you to. I have been a member for a month now and I believe I made the right call when I decided to sign up for a premium account.
As a person with a mild disability I find this sort of sites very convenient. I can talk to other people who are in the same boat as I am and honestly I feel more comfortable and able to just be myself.
I think its very important for people with disabilities to have not just a website of their own, but a proper dating website! It’s not easy for people with disability to meet people because we usually don’t go out as much as the others and websites like datinghandicapped.com are useful because they literally bring all these amazing singles right to your home. Internet is an amazing thing and I am so grateful to live in this day and age.
I am feeling really emotional because I didn’t think I would meet so many kind and sweet people here. My boyfriend left me 2 months ago, at the worst possible time and I’ve been finding it hard to open up to people, but I’m feeling better now, I really am. There are still amazing people in this world.
I haven’t dated since my accident and everyone’s really been worried because I have been depressed for a while now. I joined to make my parents happy and I don’t expect to find a girlfriend here but I have to admit that it is nice to chat and meet people who understand what it feels like to be in my situation.
